The NRM in 2006 was an anniversary edition with a royal touch. The tenth NRM was
adorned with a visit from Her Majesty, the Queen, who crowned the Grand Champions
herself and personally congratulated the owners. Her Majesty visibly enjoyed the
relaxed atmosphere and beautiful entourage. And the public also sensed it, as
evident from the enthusiastic reception that Queen Beatrix received upon arrival
at the location and in the VIP gallery.

Expo
With more than one hundred exhibitors, the expo also had a lot to offer. Quite
a number of spectators continued to visit the booths during the show. During break
time it was even remarkably busy. The daughter displays at the booths drew a lot
of attention.
Promotion of the industry
More than 11,000 farmers attended the show, progeny groups and sale of the 10th
‘royal’ NRM. Images were seen on the various national television stations.
In addition, the event was also reported in regional and national newspapers.
With this, consumers received a positive impression of the industry.
